Mindfulness and public speaking

Public speaking - how does that make you feel? I have recently been doing some sessions with a client specifically on reducing anxiety around public speaking. It worked well. She was able to feel calmer before and during the presesntation, and people commented on how her confidence had imrpoved.

On Monday in the photo below I decided to admit to the people I was talking to that before I started doing mindfulness I had a total phobia of public speaking. I would try to avoid any amount of talking in front of people, even just introduing myself on training courses was terrifying and I would avoid it if I could. Mindfulness has made life easier in so many ways. It is easy to forget how much harder things used to be but this made me remember how far I have come. Small changes can make a very big difference. Small shifts in thinking, behaviour and mindset can produce a profound level of change that makes life easier in so many ways.
