Two clients this year have started therapy and have told me both that they have found it is hugely useful and also that they are being told to try everything that I told them to try. "You were right", one said today, "it all comes back to mindfulness. You know it's right when more than one person tells you the same thing".
Often we hope there's going to be a magic fix but most things come back to the same thing. We need to ground ourselves and be kind to ourselves and take small steps in the right direction.
We mostly know what we need to do but it is the doing it that can be hard. It is good to know when I have helped and that the help continues to be useful long after the sessions
